Anger Management Course

EPICS offers a 10-hour anger management course for adults and adolescents interested in improving anger management skills and for those court-ordered to complete anger management for domestic disturbance, work-related altercations, assaults, and/or aggressive behaviors that have contributed to legal issues.

 

The goal of this course is to provide each participant with the basic knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage various conflicts. Participants will explore various anger and aggression diversion management skills with emphasis on successful approaches to the resolution of behavioral issues.

Take the steps to make a change:

1.   

Call our office to complete a brief phone screening and program overview.

2. 

Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled meeting to check-in.

3.  

Participate in the sessions to develop a personal anger management plan with immediate, short and long-term goals.

4. 

*Complete the program and receive your certificate!

*Upon request, completion certificates with an EPICS certified seal can be mailed directly to courts, probation officers and/or employers. Additional fees apply if more than one copy is needed.

Course Details: 

Every 2nd Monday & Tuesday

5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.*

*Participants are asked to arrive at 4:45 pm to check in.

Program Fees:

10-Hour Course Program Fee: $100

Duplicate certificate fee: $25 | Rescheduling fee: $20 | Individual Sessions: $75

**This course is provided through two separate five-hour class sessions. Participants requiring 12 hours of coursework will receive two hours of homework via mail to be completed prior to attending the ten hours of class education at no additional charge. In lieu of homework, participants can opt to attend two individual one-hour sessions with a Licensed Clinician; however, additional fees apply.

A 16-Week EPICS Anger Management
Curriculum

A course created for teachers, parents, behavioral health professionals, school administrators, community leaders, and caretakers to help youth obtain strong mental, emotional and behavioral awareness and coping strategies.

This curriculum innovatively incorporates discussions of relevant cultural experiences, as they relate to racism, poverty, trauma, and community violence, and how they impact the lives and mental health of inner-city urban youth. Our aim is to help youth manage anger effectively, increase their positive self-image and reduce maladaptive social behaviors.
