    Biography

    President and CEO of Second Wind Counseling & Consulting (https:/ www.secondwindcc.com) Dacia has developed and customized workshops and training programs for over 15 years on topics such as Toxic Relationships, Developing a Resilient Mindset When Working with Difficult People, Keys to Becoming a Fearless Woman, Transforming Misbehavior: 7 Keys to Reducing Defiant Behavior, and Dealing with Diversity. She has also authored a number of articles and books, including the popular Why Are So Many Students So Angry? a foundational guide for educators and parents on how to reduce angry, aggressive behavior.

     

    Dacia serves on the Board of Trustees of the Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund. The Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund makes grants to 501 (c) 3 mental healthcare organizations. As a member of the Board of Trustees, her role is to assure that taxpayer monies are disbursed and used with the highest of ethical standards.

     

    She also serves on the Board of Directors of her church, Sheffield Family Life Center. As the first African American female board member, Dacia represents approximately 50% of the cultural and gender population of this 5000 member megachurch. She is a member of the Budget Committee and takes seriously her duties to ensure that the ministry of the church is on a solid financial footing so that lives can be changed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
