Anger Management Course:

The goals of this course is to provide each participant with the basic knowledge and
skills to assist them in effectively
managing various conflicts.


EPICS offers a 6 &16-week, 10 &12-hour Anger Management course. This Anger Management course is for persons who are interested in improving their anger management skills and court ordered to complete anger management for domestic disturbance, work related altercations, assaults, and/or aggressive behaviors that have contributed to legal issues. Participants will explore various anger and aggression diversion management skills with emphasis on successful approaches to resolution of behavioral issues. This course is provided through two separate 5 hour class sessions. Participants will develop a personal anger management plan with immediate, short and long term goals.

Course Information

  • Participants will receive a brief phone screening and overview of program
    prior to class.
  • Course offerings for Adults and Adolescents available.
  • Participants will receive anger management workbook.
  • Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.
  • Upon request, completion certificates with EPICS certified seal can be mailed directly to courts, probation officer, and/or employer. Additional fee applies if more than one copy is needed.
  • Participants requiring 12 hours of course work will receive two hours of homework via mail to be completed prior to attending the ten hours of class education at no additional charge. In lieu of homework, participants can opt to attend 2 individual 1-hour sessions with a Licensed Clinician, however additional fees apply.
  • Rescheduling services available at no charge if class is rescheduled due to insufficient participants. Registered participants must provide 7-day notice
    if unable to attend a scheduled class, rescheduling fees apply.

Defensive Driving Program

Drivers from the St. Louis and Illinois
areas are welcome!

EPICS, LLC is proud to present our Defensive Driving Program. EPICS staff is trained & certified under AAA national headquarters specification. Courses and curriculum are governed by Missouri Revised Statute 302.302.

The 8-hour Defensive Driving Course and the 4-hour Driver Safety Course focuses on improving both attitudes and behaviors behind the wheel and requires active participation. Both of these courses will provide an interactive learning experience.

Courses are available either through regularly scheduled classes or at your location upon request. Pre-registration is required for all courses.

COURSES OFFERED

EPICS 8-hour Defensive Driving Course
This course is designed for individuals who are charged with a moving violation and would like to have unwanted points removed from their driver’s license records.
 
EPICS 4-hour Roadwise Driver Course

This ourse is designed to address the special needs of drivers 55 years of age and older. It canbe used as a refresher resource or to learn updated information on the latest risk-reducing driving techniques.

EPICS 4-hour Driver Safety Course
This course is appropriate for beginning drivers and participants who would like to receive auto insurance discounts. Many insurance companies offer discounts for those who successfully complete a 4-hour driver safety course. Consult your insurance agent for more details. This course teaches evidence based driving techniques to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road. The curriculum is interactive and focuses on the unique challenges faced by adults and newly licensed drivers between the ages of 15-54.

Victim Impact Panel Course:
The Victim Impact Panel course is offered for persons who have been arrested for a DWI/DUI and individuals who have been found guilty of a crime and court ordered to complete a VIP course. VIP is designed to help participants consider the ripple effect of their criminal behavior, the harm they have caused the victim’s family, self, and community and help them begin the process of taking responsibility for their
actions. Participants will explore behavior patterns that may be similar to the ones that have contributed to their current legal
issues and learn how to begin to make amends with the people they have harmed.

Petty Larceny/Shoplifting Course:
The Petty Larceny/Shoplifting course is offered for persons arrested for shoplifting, or committing petty larceny crimes. This course explores social, economic, legal, and emotional consequences of theft and helps each person begin to deal with individual motivations.

Drug/Alcohol Education Course:
EPICS offers a 10 & 12 hour, 6 &16-week drug/alcohol education course for persons who are court ordered to complete a drug/alcohol education course for a minor in possession, drug paraphernalia, or any drug/alcohol possession charge (not related to license suspension/revocation). This course provides each participant with basic understanding of the disease concept of addiction, substances of abuse, relapse prevention strategies, and the physiological effects of substances on the body. The 10 & 12 hour course is offered through two separate 5-hour class sessions. The 6 & 16-week course can be tailored to meet agencies needs and requirements.

These courses utilize interactive group activities such as role playing, small group work, along with lectures, videos, and some homework assignments. All sessions must be completed consecutively to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are allowed to reschedule; however, they will be required to attend all sessions consecutively. Rescheduling fees apply.
